The One Where The Swiss Guard Is Dressed Funny

I understand how important tradition is, especially when it comes to Roman Catholicism, but honestly, nobody's thought of changing the attire of the Swiss Guard (pictured left, giggle, giggle)? What if you want to spray paint on the Basilica or something, and one of what appears to be an overly prismatic court jester crossed with a mutant peacock comes up to you and tries to stop you? Do you stop what you're doing or are you prompted to hand him a euro or two to make you a balloon animal?

Then again it's probably good they're dressed like that. They would never get run over crossing the street at night.
